This is a Premium Collectors set to celebrate the country's fourth series of banknotes since 1967. Whilst the set issued are all with matching serial numbers, the RM50 note has a special prefix of triple A. This is simple because the AA prefix for this series has been used when the bank issued the RM50 commemorative independence note on 26.12.2007. Despite the 2007 commemorative note design is not completely the same, this 2011 note does formed part of the fourth series, and for that, the central bank has decided to adopt the 3 letters prefix instead. The total of 50,000 sets were issued at a price of RM300 per set.
