...Cambodia - 200 and 2000 Riels Dated 2022 General Circulation Issues

Below are two notes, both printed with the year date of 2022. These two notes were reportedly released for circulation on 14.11.2022. The designs on these notes are completely new and were issued for general circulation.

 

The 200 riels is a new denomination since the tenth series of banknotes released in 1992-1993.

 

Two Hundred Riels

 

Front - Portrait of King Noromdom Sihamoni (b.1953) when he was young. The Naga mythical dragon statue is printed on the left side of the note.

Two Thousand Riels
 

Front - King Noromdom Sihamoni. He ascended to the throne on 14.10.2004 following the abdication of his father King Norodom Sihanouk (b.1922-2012). He is the eldest son of King Norodom Sihanouk. The Naga mythical snake head statue is printed on the left side of the note.
