Here are some of the 2016 new series printed with the XAA replacement prefix. Traditionally, all replacement notes are printed with the first letter "X" by Perum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (Perum Peruri). Perum Peruri was established on 15.09.1971, following the merger of the state mint Artha Yasa and the state printer Pertjetakan Kebajoran. Since then all Rupiah banknotes of Indonesia are printed by them.
The signatures on these notes belong to:
* Governor = Agus Dermawan Wintarto Martowardojo (since 23.05.2013); and
* Finance Minister = Ms Sri Mulyani Indrawati (since 27.07.2016).
