Cambodia - 2000 Riels Commemorative 60th Independence Celebration

The country was occupied by the French between 1867 to 1953, except briefly between 1941 to 1945 which the country was then under the Japanese occupation during the Second World War period. Independence was granted to the Cambodians on 09.11.1953 and this note was issued to commemorate it's 60th year of independence.

On the back, it depicts the scene the late King Norodom Shihanouk leading his troops, the Royal Crusade, crossing a river during the independence of Cambodia in the early 1950s. next to it is the Independence Monument.
